Brittany and Joe’s wedding was the perfect trifecta, it was in Seattle (my home town), they are wedding photographers,
and the location was at The Center for Wooden Boats. It just can’t get any better that!
As I was sitting on the runway waiting to take off from JFK, I found myself getting a little nervous about this wedding. Not because I wasn’t confident in my work, but get that way when I am commissioned by another photographer, especially when they are uber talented. Brittany and Joe are so lovely, all my nerves went away the moment I met them and their oh so sweet pup, Gia. The weather could not have been better, it was a gorgeous day for a waterside wedding in the Pacific Northwest!
Here is what Brittany had to say about their day:
“Joe and I wanted to have an intimate wedding that highlighted all that we love about Seattle. Most of our guests were visiting from other states and had never been to Seattle before. We fell in love with the Center for Wooden boats and decided to have our wedding there. We love the water, boats, anything nautical and are both into a preppy/ classic sort of style. Being wedding photographers ourselves it was very important that everything be photogenic and that our ceremony and portraits were taken during the part of the day that has the best light. We had our dinner outside on the dock. It was so beautiful as the sun set and the sky filled with a pink hue. I did all of my own flowers and had a lot of fun doing them ! I LOVE flowers, and really wanted them to be my personal project. I sourced all of them from online wholesalers and got most of my decor from TJ Max. We had some really great vendors that we had found at weddings we had photographed over the years, Tacoma ice Cream social was a big hit ! They brought 6 different gourmet flavors and waffle cones. We got a small but adorable cutting cake from Trophy Cupcakes. We had Smokin Petes barbecue serve up a traditional PNW menu of Wild Salmon, potatoes, corn on the cob and salad. Our dog Gia was a part of our wedding ceremony and stayed up at the front laid out on the dock by Joe (I was so happy that she could be there with us). She has a custom japanese silk collar made for the big day so she could look fancy too. 🙂 Our wedding day was perfect and we wouldn’t change anything about it.”
Special thanks to all the amazing vendors who helped make this the wedding of their dreams:
